Year of Jubilee
Year of Jubilee
Written by Adam M. Snow
My child, My child; lend Me your ear,
heed My word, put aside your fear,
your pride, your sword, your envious jeer
- hear My voice and revere.
See the world through grain of sand,
this world of yours is My Father's land.
Heed My word and make a stand
- rain of revival is at hand.
Your home will burn with Holy fire;
your kin will see My Father's desire.
Hundreds of voices will be lifted higher,
many will speak with tongues of fire.
The blind will gain a whole new sight,
they shall see God's Holy might.
Holy Spirit will in them shine bright,
their tongues shall too with fire ignite.
The lame will dance and dance so free,
to a Heavenly chorus of praises towards Me.
They will dance and dance so endlessly
- rejoicing, rejoicing with tears of glee.
The mute will speak with unheard voice
and sing aloud as they rejoice.
Praises will flow from their new found voice,
set ablaze as they rejoice.

I'll Never KnowI wish I could just talk to you.
To stay, and chat awhile.
To have met as high school classmates.
I wish I'd met you as a child.
But the only way I know is one
As daughter to a mother.
I'll never know who you truly are
And your many shades of color.
Who was the spark?
Who blazed that day;
Who was that summer child?
Caught between our Lord's sunbeams
And His loving Smile?
That summer child is still within
How I wish that I could meet her!
I'd hug her close, say, "It's all right!"
That nothing will defeat her.
I'll never know to look at you
With a special sort of awe.
Because I am a part of you
I was neither selected nor called.
Yet God chose the very best for you
Your parents; how we miss them so!
They're dancing in your honor, too
In a place we don't yet know.
And I will never really know
Your way of loving Dad.
That bond of decades-long friendship
And love through good and bad.
I'll never know what it felt like
To hold my brother that first time.
To feel him leave your body
Yet to fin
'Meditation in a toolshed'"I was standing today in a dark toolshed. The sun was shining outside and through the crack at the top of the door there came a sunbeam. From where I stood that beam of light, with the specks of dust floating in it, was the most striking thing in the place. Everything else was almost pitch-black. I was seeing the beam, not seeing things by it.
Then I moved, so that the beam fell on my eyes. Instantly the whole previous picture vanished. I saw no toolshed, and (above all), no beam. Instead I saw, framed in the irregular cranny at the top of the door, green leaves moving on the branches of a tree outside and beyond that, 90 odd million miles away, the sun. Looking along the beam and looking at the beam are very different experiences.
But this is only a very specific example of the difference between looking at and looking along. A young man meets a girl. The whole world looks different when he sees her. Her voice reminds her of something he has been tryin

Sometimes There's A Tunnel
Well, I have enough faves accumulated for 3 more features, but in light of the Kmart store I've worked at 5-1/2 years closing in mid-December. I'm going to take a break from DA for awhile--I'm turning off my Watch spigot but I'll still check my messages periodically. I'm also nearly at 50,000 pageviews and should be doing something special, but I'm not able to now--I will, just note me with a screenshot if you get the 50,000th pageviews, and I'll send you something special by mail or email. Also, it's fall, which tends to be beautiful in Santa Fe, so I really should be spending more spare time outside rather than buried in my phone or at the
Saturation Point
The saturation point of something (defined) is the point at which the greatest possible amount of a substance has been absorbed; it's also the limit beyond which something can no longer be continued, endured, etc. As an American, there are numerous issues on which I hope the public has reached the saturation point, and finds more of the same action or inaction unacceptable. The good news, however, is that there is never a saturation point for too much good news, gorgeous photographs and art, or superb writing! So I present as a rest for the eyes and spirit these great works by your fellow DeviantArt-ists~I hope you'll give them much deserved
Let It Be--Miracle
While the real world waits for miracles--that the urgent efforts of determined people of faith and love, may overcome the destructive power of hatred and greed, we draw inspiration from beautiful images of nature, fantasy, history, and poetic writing. I am pleased to share these wonderful works, the excellent music of Blackmill, and hope they will brighten your day. With love always to my DA friends and watchers, thank you again! -Debra :rose:

Love, Hope, and Persistence
This feature was supposed to be a commentary on America's Independence Day, climate change, and related, but words failed to sum up what I feel inside, so I'll let these pictures do my telling. Each of these wonderful artists and poets deserves your attention, and I hope you'll check out the great song at the end. With love and prayers always, my dear friends! -Debra  :floating: :rose:
