I asked God to choose the song for this feature. He chose this one to say that He is with each of us, no matter what we see, and remind us that even in the darkest of circumstances, He still loves us. The world may fall apart, but Jesus is still with you, willing to help. If you have the privilege to know that, you are blessed, but if not, know that He has sent His Spirit, The Comforter, to give you peace that passes understanding. He will not abandon you, He will be with you in troubles. John 16:33 "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
With that being said, here now are the features for mid-November. Please share your appreciation and support of your fellow artists--a big round of applause!
Love,
Debra

You Led me into the StormI trusted you.
I followed you.
Why have you led me
into this storm?
My faith has become
a rocking boat;
I feel abandoned
in my despair.
How can you sleep?
Awake, o Lord!
Why have you led me
into this storm?
I followed you
into danger and fear -
why have you brought me here?
But you have power
over this storm,
and you have a purpose
in leading me here.
I said I would follow
wherever you go -
so teach me to trust you
even in the storm,
and help me remember
I am never alone.
The Same Blood The man who stood beside me at the altar, stretching his hands out to receive the blessed bread--I knew him. He was the man who, every Sunday the past four years, let his dog do his duty in the common area at 4 am, then drove off in his oversize noisy pickup to go fishing. He owned a mechanic shop for expensive import cars, and rumor had it he got around a criminal rap and hired only ex-cons. I turned a little to the side to keep my expression from him. How dare he pretend to be like us.
After the service, I checked with my buddy, Sam. Sure enough, Rogero had showed up last week while I was away, answered the altar call, and here he was, a changed man, supposedly. Well, I wasn't going to believe it until I saw it myself.
Sam and I had rugby practice next, so we went to his car as usual, since mine was a 2-seater, only it wasn't his beat-up Suburban this time. It was a sharp looking Subaru
Sometimes There's A Tunnel
Well, I have enough faves accumulated for 3 more features, but in light of the Kmart store I've worked at 5-1/2 years closing in mid-December. I'm going to take a break from DA for awhile--I'm turning off my Watch spigot but I'll still check my messages periodically. I'm also nearly at 50,000 pageviews and should be doing something special, but I'm not able to now--I will, just note me with a screenshot if you get the 50,000th pageviews, and I'll send you something special by mail or email. Also, it's fall, which tends to be beautiful in Santa Fe, so I really should be spending more spare time outside rather than buried in my phone or at the
Saturation Point
The saturation point of something (defined) is the point at which the greatest possible amount of a substance has been absorbed; it's also the limit beyond which something can no longer be continued, endured, etc. As an American, there are numerous issues on which I hope the public has reached the saturation point, and finds more of the same action or inaction unacceptable. The good news, however, is that there is never a saturation point for too much good news, gorgeous photographs and art, or superb writing! So I present as a rest for the eyes and spirit these great works by your fellow DeviantArt-ists~I hope you'll give them much deserved
Let It Be--Miracle
While the real world waits for miracles--that the urgent efforts of determined people of faith and love, may overcome the destructive power of hatred and greed, we draw inspiration from beautiful images of nature, fantasy, history, and poetic writing. I am pleased to share these wonderful works, the excellent music of Blackmill, and hope they will brighten your day. With love always to my DA friends and watchers, thank you again! -Debra :rose:

Love, Hope, and Persistence
This feature was supposed to be a commentary on America's Independence Day, climate change, and related, but words failed to sum up what I feel inside, so I'll let these pictures do my telling. Each of these wonderful artists and poets deserves your attention, and I hope you'll check out the great song at the end. With love and prayers always, my dear friends! -Debra  :floating: :rose:
